Like any other industry, healthcare is subject to changes in working practices. Many companies choose video to train staff in the new ways of working. Training videos can save an enormous amount of time and money, and eliminate the need to train staff individually.

Novartis is a pharmaceutical giant, developing and manufacturing medicines and equipment used in healthcare. They approached Shoot You to help produce a video to introduce new working methods to its sales staff.
Novartis wanted its sales staff to embrace a more focussed approach to sales, centred around four key areas – this concept became central to our proposed video.
Structuring the content
As a sales training video, this production had to cover a lot of information and Novartis had asked for a run time not exceeding 5 minutes.
We structured the content around the company’s own Novartis Way of selling. The four key areas were applied to a graphic that allowed us to branch off to examine each area individually. This breaks the video down, giving it form and making it easier to navigate and digest.
After Effects is a powerful animation package that allows us to create beautiful animations in a very short amount of time. This ease of use allows us to easily change elements of the animation – particularly handy when the client asks for a different approach, or we have to translate on-screen text into other languages.
Pleasing An Audience
An internal training video has much in common with one for external use. Both need to be exceptional, to stimulate and engage.
If staff are to pursue a company’s wish that customers recognise them as the best, they should feel the same. Videos made for them need to reflect quality, alongside valuable content.
In the Novartis training video, animation and motion graphics are blended to make the information accessible, relevant. The graphics mimic a molecular structure those watching will relate to.
