A new understanding
An animated video is sometimes the best way to get a complex message across in a short amount of time. When products are new and unfamiliar, an animation can encapsulate and simplify, making the best case for them.
Aggreko is a global specialist in short term power. Traditionally supplying diesel and natural gas generators to off-grid locations, developments in renewables created a need to explain how these would be integrated into Aggreko’s solution.
They asked Shoot You to create a short, animated video that would explain how hybrid energy could reduce costs for their customers, improve sustainability and still be delivered with their trademark reliability and ease-of-use.
The video would be used for marketing Aggreko’s solutions to new customers, and existing customers who were only familiar with their diesel/gas products.
Just the facts
There was a lot of information to squeeze into this two and a half minute video, which meant that the animated graphics would need to be information-rich, while still maintaining breathing space for the message to sink in.
2D infographics form the bulk of this video, allowing the message to come through clearly. Emphasising and supporting the voice-over, the benefits of the product are the focus of the graphics.
Aggreko’s prominent and well-known orange branding is used heavily throughout giving it continuity with the rest of the company’s video output. We also used a circle motif from their printed marketing materials as a backbone for the graphics we created.
