MD (Sales & Marketing)
Quint has spent his entire life on set: in front of, and behind cameras. He spent fifteen years at the BBC working in Light Entertainment (‘Top of The Pops’, ‘Noels House Party’) and News &Current Affairs (‘Newsnight’). Quint also loved working freelance with ‘Technovision’ principally on conferences and major sports events such as various World Cups and Commonwealth Games.
Coincidentally, Quint enjoyed a successful career as a voice over artist. As a Brit he voiced hundreds of US documentaries for Discovery, National Geographic (‘Crocodile Chronicles’). Using his American accent, he voiced loads of TV commercials especially during the Cola, Jeans, Burger ‘wars’ in the 90’s. Quint was nominated for a BAFTA for his work the Impulse ‘Free Spirit’ campaign (lost it to Robert Morley: ‘Sainsbury’s’).
Realising that professional, digital video production was becoming a reality, in 2000 Quint set up ‘Shoot You’ with Matt Giles. The ethos of the company: to provide video and animation as a cost effective communications resource for business. The business case from 2000 applies far more in 2016, with the unstoppable rise of mobile technology and it’s handmaiden, social media.
Quint remains ‘evangelistic’ about helping clients and ‘brands’ harness video and animation as a resource; whether for internal communications, or B2B/B2C sales and marketing. Many of the ‘recent’ technological changes (Global Internet rollout, ubiquitous use of smartphones, Google, Social Media) have enabled creative opportunities for companies to use video, just as the cost of production has fallen.
Quint brings a ‘touch of grey’ to the young team at Shoot You. But his wealth of commercial experience -he likes to think- can still come in handy. His enthusiasm for helping business to harness video and animation for business communications remains undimmed.
