Customer support is a key aspect for Peverel Group, an established property management company.
This had become less than effective and a fresh team were implementing change to provide excellent service, alongside embracing new technology.
Shoot You were asked to produce a video highlighting the change in a positive way. Not hiding past issues, whilst getting across the opportunity for clients to work with a transformed, forward looking company.
The video needed to be about honesty alongside opportunity and to reflect the great people now steering the business. A production led by talking heads interviews of senior staff made sense.
Portraying a close knit team mattered. We would record an interview with Electra Partners, a Peverel investor and advisor, alongside customer facing staff. Both part of the change making the business work.
With the help of our client, an outline script was created and a schedule organised to interview their team. Important for busy people to be interviewed on time, rather than losing time.
All footage at Peverel was taken on a one day shoot, with a three man crew, an interviewer/director, cameraman and soundman.
Not all the interviewees were used to being on camera. Our role is to guide them, make them feel comfortable to get the best out of them. In this case, the staff’s natural communication skills helped.
We used our highest spec camera, the Canon C300. As the video shows, this creates an amazing depth of field and high image quality.
After the interviews we shot B-roll, with people carrying out their daily routine. A slider was used for some of the B-roll shots, to add movement to the shots and raise production value.
Talking heads videos are in part about timing. Our editors task is to work the footage to match the script but also to create a cohesive flow.
Unlike a celebrity interview, this production is a corporate video, the people and the message combined. We enhanced that message with animated text and graphics to highlight key points.
Portraying the scope of Peverel, with 200,000 properties and 4000 bank accounts under management became part of the promotional value, without making this the centre of the production.
The feedback we had for this video was very positive and we hope the production contributed to our client getting their message out, achieving their corporate goals.
Peverel have since the video successfully rebranded as part of positive change and have a business which is serving our society in a valuable way.
