Using motion graphics we produced over one hundred videos, in five different languages, for Barclays Global Investors. We then quickly re- branded all of the videos, in all languages, when BGI was sold to BlackRock in Dec 2009.

Why use motion graphics?
Motion graphics are graphics that use animation technology to create the illusion of motion or a transforming of appearance. Basically, motion graphics bring any video to life.
How are motion graphics used?
Motion graphics can be used to animate any logos and title interviewees. They can be used as animated text to produce positive testimonial quotes and animated numbers to highlight and reinforce key points e.g. time and money saved.
What else can motion graphics do?
Motion graphics describe any process that pure video cannot. Motion graphics are a very powerful way to describe huge events and things e.g. VISA’s global credit network or the internal design of a nuclear submarine. Conversely they also describe events and things which are too small for example the effects of a drug on a human cell Finally, motion graphics are often the only way to describe a complex process or service simply because they are so esoteric such as an improved payroll payment process.

What have we produced using Motion Graphics?

Motion Graphics: Picture in Picture
One excellent way of portraying multiple events happening simultaneously is picture in picture. Frequently used by TV shows such as '24' picture in picture allows the video to communicate e.g. a variety of things a busy mother does in one day. Or a series of events which happen to the entire family at the same time. Picture in picture can also be used as part of a powerful montage for an intro or outro the video perhaps prior to a call to action.
