'Making of' Videos

Shoot You produce 'making of videos' for advertising agencies and their clients. Although the reasons for making a behind the scenes video are three fold the aim is usually the same: to allow further exposure of the product or service being promoted through associated media be it www.youtube.com or www.thenewsmarket.co.uk.

1. More exposure of talent used in the advertisement. While Michael Schumacher was only on screen for five seconds in a Vodaphone commercial the amount of interview footage obtained stretched to over twenty minutes. This footage is of immense interest to fans who visit websites in droves.

2. How did they do that? By their very nature many commercials are very photogenic and use sophisticated techniques as part of the production process. The more complex the production process the more interest generated by members of the public.

3. 'Access all areas' backstage footage. This produces a 'special features' section on a DVD or B Roll of a news worthy event which can be used by news organisations.

How do we do it?

Shoot You supply a two person crew which works independently from the main production. They hunt for 'money shots' according to an agency brief and interview key members of production when it's convenient for them.

Post production -via laptops- and server upload can take place immediately for example to allow that day's footage to be used as a 'tease' for news organisations or as a reference by interested parties.

The production of 'Making of' videos is still in its infancy but the footage obtained can make for compelling viewing at a relatively meagre additional cost to our clients.
