DDA video - the disability and discrimination act

Shoot You produce video to ensure a company has taken the steps required by the Disability and Discrimination Act (DDA 2004). Video is an excellent format to communicate complex information about a service or product and, with the falling cost of video production, offers a cost effective solution as well. We've produced video for a variety of projects - examples of which we're happy to supply on request.

The architecture of many castles, stately homes and ships are often impossible to negotiate e.g. for wheelchair users. We can film areas which are off limits to these people, create a beautiful edit, and this can then be viewed on a plasma screen.

For the hard of hearing a video can quickly illustrate or demonstrate a product or service. If necessary subtitling, or sign language, can be used to ensure your message gets across. Using a voice over your video can easily be dubbed into a wide variety of languages.

The DDA asks companies to take 'reasonable steps' to make their products and services accessible. We'll work with you to ensure this is the case.

Example

Leeds Castle

As they're unable to make alterations to their premises, many stately homes, castles and palaces opt to show a video of areas which would otherwise be inaccessible.
