Helping Harrods explain the benefit of their customer loyalty program

Harrods Project Brief
Harrods have a thriving and valuable customer loyalty program. To ensure sales staff were aware of the terms and conditions of the loyalty card, Harrods asked Shoot You to produce a short video.
Alongside possible use on an internal website, this would be shown during staff training days and needed to capture their attention.
Our scriptwriters worked closely with Harrods HR department, creating a voiceover script, to ensure all points were covered within the required length of the video.
This also helped us understand the subtle vibrancy Harrods wanted to see in the final production. Animated video a natural choice, with a little magic included.
With the voiceover script complete, a guide track was recorded at our in house studio. Then a series of still images were produced, to run in sync with the script.
This produced an animatic. A still sequence of the final video, along with a music track, developed to fit with the images and narration.
The stage when the imagery comes to life through animated transitions, blending the message into one. We also added 3D imagery to a degree and motion graphics elements.
Careful to take forward Harrods requested production style at each stage, whilst adding zest to the video to captivate their staff.
Getting across a benefit message for customers and staff in a minute of animated video required good timing. Subtle edits, honing of the music track and a second, professional recording of the voiceover track. The final production then ready to go in a range of formats.
The animation was well received by staff and equally well understood. Harrods loyalty program continues to thrive and we would like to think our animated video production played a small part.
