The phrase ‘Fin Tech’ is becoming a bit of a buzz at the moment. Almost every week financial services seem to be impacted by the changes in technology (ATM’s and online banking) and even the nature of currency itself (Bitcoins). Marketforce exists to keep pace with the revolution in the financial sector and inform clients of how these changes may affect their customers and them.
The animated video was essentially a sales tool. To raise awareness of the company itself in context with the rapidly changing area financial technology. As such care was needed in writing the voice over script: communicate the complexity of the changing financial landscape and offer the benefits of Marketforce. The script was written with Marketforce who, good-naturedly, worked with us to refine it through a series of changes.
In conjunction with Marketforce a voice over script was written. This provided the basis for a storyboard. against which a voice over guide track was recorded (by Quint) and edited at our in-house studio Once the storyboard images were agreed upon they were animated and, if memory serves, went through three rounds of amends. Finally, a ‘professional’ voice over was cast and the final animated production delivered. Time taken six weeks.
The video proved a very successful sales tool. There was (is) turbulence within the financial sector (especially with Brexit) and the animation served to demonstrate there was a company who was across the ‘whack-a-mole’ changes continually popping up across the financial landscape. A company who could (as implicit within the animation) deliver concise, creative and clear information to clients about the changes and implications of fin tech for them.
